A colourful Mediterranean diet reduces the risk of womb cancer by a massive 57 per cent, a new study in the British Journal of Cancer has claimed.
Researchers followed more than 5,000 Italian women to see how closely they stuck to a Mediterranean diet and whether they went on to develop womb cancer.
As the adherence to the diet fell, so the risk of cancer increased.
Lead author was Dr Cristina Bosetti, from the IRCCS-Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche.
