All the research on cancer points to cancer being a complex and multi-step process, not a single ´cockroach´ to be trodden on. So we believe it is unlikely that one single treatment (drug or vitamin) would ever be able to ´cure´ cancer. We believe you need to build a multi-step treatment programme, surrounding your oncologist´s orthodox medicine. Over 60 per cent of cancer patients in the UK attempt to do this already; and 38 per cent of American Hospitals now talk about treating ´mind, body and soul´ in their mission statements. Top American oncologist, Dr Henry Friedman recently called using complementary therapies alongside orthodox medical treatments ´Enlightened Medicine´ in one of our interviews. He encourages it. We call it building an Integrative Treatment programme.

However, most UK cancer patients simply do not know where to start - complementary therapies are varied and numerous - acupuncture, vitamins, diet, exercise, stress reduction - it´s all too confusing! Most UK doctors and oncologists can´t help, being either ignorant of the opportunities, or fearful of their positions within the framework of over-rigid British orthodoxy. This Month´s Star Letter

Dear CANCERactive,

I just wanted to write to say how delighted I was to be told about your website. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 8 years ago aged 39.  I had the treatment and was then left to “get on with it”. I spent literally years looking at cancer books, scrolling the internet, visiting acupuncture and complimentary therapists and trying to learn how diet and supplements can benefit cancer. If I had known about your website it would have saved me years of my time and probably lots of money.    

Last August I was diagnosed with meningitis and whilst having lumbar punctures I was told cancer cells had been found in my spinal fluid, yet again my world collapsed and I spent from August to June having diagnostic tests to establish where the cancer was. During the ten months whilst having test after test and waiting for results, I found a lady in Sheffield by the name of Kayo Edwards a Japanese lady who does energy healing removing negative energies and replacing with positive ones, a process that enables you to relieve stress, physical and emotional pains. The deep relaxation sessions enabled me to cope with the anxiety, trauma and tightness in my chest that comes with fear and uncertainty. I feel that I would be doing Kayo an injustice if I didn’t pass her details on. Her website can be found on our useful numbers page.
