The Review Half Marathon & Fun Run: Sunday 11th June
Mandy Sweetman is looking forward to taking part in the Review Half Marathon in St Albans Hertfordshire with her Mother and two sisters. Her 7 year old daughter Amber will be taking part in the children’s fun run and can’t wait to receive her medal. Mandy is appealing to local people to take part in in the Half Marathon (YOU CAN ENTER AS A WALKER OR A RUNNER!) or you can take part in the 5K run or the U12s 1.5 Mile Fun Run. Sponsored walk at Pen-y-fan: Saturday 24th June
Glynn Hardwicke has organised a sponsored walk which covers about 8km (5miles) of Welsh hillside taking in the summit of Pen-y-fan, the highest point in South Wales. Midsummer Madness Event
Tea Party/Coffee Morning or Picnic/Barbecue - this can take place on 24th June or in fact anytime during the summer months.

All our runs have proved very popular with supporters eager to get active. All our places for the Great Manchester Run and Great South Run have now been filled. However if you have your own place and would like to run on our behalf please give us a call! Or if you have a place in another local event please contact us to request a runner’s pack.
Abseil: Sunday 17th September 2006
Aim high take that giant step and join us for our big abseiling challenge at The Riverside Complex in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. This is your opportunity to abseil down the side of this impressive building and really test your head for heights. Don’t worry you will be in the safe hands of our abseiling experts. No experience is needed as full training will be given on the day by our team of dedicated professionals.

Halloween Firewalk: Tuesday 31st October
7pm-10pm at Shenley Leisure Centre, Milton Keynes
Be a Devil - Take that first step.. Walk across 20 feet of wood embers burning at 1200 degrees fahrenheit without experiencing any pain or injury.
Enjoy a 2 hour long motivational seminar. Increase your confidence and self esteem. Release fears and doubts and learn how to overcome self-limiting beliefs! If you can "Walk on Fire" - what else can you achieve in life? To register - your place will cost £50 and we ask that you raise over £100 in sponsorship. Tell your friends and family what you’re about to do they’ll be only too pleased to sponsor you. Invite them along to the Halloween disco in the evening and, as it’s Halloween, why not come in fancy dress?
Cancer Prevention Fortnight: 13th - 26th November
During our Cancer Prevention Fortnight we are aiming to create awareness of CANCERactive as well as raising funds to enable us to continue our life-changing work. We are approaching primary schools and nurseries around the country and asking them to take part in various health-related activities. If you have a contact at your local school, please call us with their details.
We are also encouraging our supporters to organise a "Meal with Appeal" which can be breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner.
