MSG, inflammatory carcinogen is even in coffee

2015 Research

MSG is a chemical taste enhancer first developed in the laboratory in 1908.

Monosodium glutamate is cumulative in the body and has proven effects against the nervous system, brain and eyes. It is a listed carcinogen. Links have been made to Autism and Alzheimer’s.

It may appear In disguise and can be called ‘Natural Flavouring’, ‘Tenderiser’ or ‘Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein’.

It is used in laboratories to create obesity in test mice and rats who are injected with the chemical to obtain the required weight gain. It triples the amount of insulin produced by the pancreas thus causing chronic inflammation in the body leading to illnesses from arthritis to cancer.

MSG was in everything – crisps, canned soups, frozen meals, salad dressings and a host of so-called ‘healthy foods’.It is even in some brands of coffee.

It is widespread in fast food – KFC, Burger King, McDonald’s, TGIF, Taco Bell and the rest. Chinese restaurants are infamous for its use.

MSG is a taste enhancer, supposedly making the yaste more definitive in your mouth. It is actually addictive. The great taste that makes you buy again may well just be the MSG.

Health Authorities in the UK and USA set no safe limit on MSG, even though scientists have known the dangers and used the compound to poison rats since the nineteen seventies  (See “Hypothalamic lesion induced by injection of monosodium glutamate in suckling period and subsequent development of obesity.” Tanaka K, Shimada M, Nakao K Kusunoki. Exp Neurol. 1978 Oct.)

But are you going to read about the dangers of MSG in the press – well, to answer that question, think about how many companies use the additive, and also advertise in the media.

There is a new book out about MSG. It is by John Erb and is called the “Slow Poisoning of Mankind” by the packaged food industry.
