MP’s rallied behind Macmillan last month and called on the Government to review how the NHS spends its money on cancer services. A motion has been tabled by Labour MP Dr Ian Gibson, Conservatives John Baron and Tony Baldry and Sandra Gidley a LibDem, calling on the Government to formally respond to Macmillan’s ideas following a survey completed last November. The survey showed a lack of transparency, widespread inconsistency, poor investment and inadequate meaningful patient involvement.
