This group is mainly for those affected by tumours of the central nervous system - predominantly high grade gliomas with 6-8 people normally attending. It is based in St Thomas’ Hospital on the South Bank.
Members are free to discuss any issues they choose. The group is open to both patients and their carers. The support is psychological and emotional. The group is facilitated by a counsellor and clinical nurse specialist in neuro-oncology. This allows members the opportunity to ask clinical questions and to receive advice in coping mechanisms, etc.
